When is the rent due?

Rental payments are due on the 1st of the month and can be paid up the 5th of the month however, after the 5th there will be a late fee charges of $5.00 a day up to $50.00 for the month per unit. Past due units will be locked and not accessible until rent is paid in full.

Storage World does not send bills, invoices or payment reminders. It is the customers responsibility to make sure the payment is on time, much like renting an apartment or commercial space.

Rental agreements are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. A 30-day notice is required if you are planning on moving out.

In the event that a storage unit has lapsed in rent payments a storage auction would be held. Auctions are conducted according to local and state laws, and the proceeds from the auction are applied to the customer’s past due balance. If the proceeds from the auction exceed the customer’s amount due, the customer will receive a check from Storage World for the balance. Should the auction proceeds not cover the amount due, the customer’s account will be sent to collections. This would be a last resort and something that we would rather not do. If you find that you are severely past-due, please stay in touch with us so we can resolve the matter and avoid the auction process.
